Hsin

#gacha#wuthering-waves

Living smart-spender Hsin guide for general players (not whale ceiling). 5★ Electro Rectifier main DPS, the Sentinel of Mengzhou. Her big hits count as Resonance Skill DMG. Banner art: official Kuro key art (via Prydwen full art). Checked 5 Oct 2026 HKT.

Controls note: DualSense defaults: □ Normal Attack · △ Resonance Skill · R2 Resonance Liberation · L1+□ Echo · character switch = Intro/Outro. Hold □ = Heavy. Rebinds differ, so match your own layout.

Brief summary

Hsin has two Resonance Modes:

  • Electro Flare is the one to play now. It uses a normal 1-2-3 rotation, works with cheap teammates (free Electro Rover + 4★ Buling), and Prydwen rates her T0.5 at S0.
  • Unison uses a Jinhsi-style double-Outro loop. Today the only other Unison unit is Jinhsi. Prydwen says it performs about the same as the F2P Flare team, so skip it until more Unison characters (e.g. Suoming) are out.

Game8 and Prydwen both call her the new best Electro DPS. Prydwen’s caveat: her ceiling sits below the rest of the modern 3.x cast for now. She’s a strong, budget-friendly carry, not a power-creep monster.

Mode Partners Note
Electro Flare (best now) Electro Rover + Suisui Game8 / Prydwen / Kuro agree on Rover
Electro Flare F2P Electro Rover + Buling Kuro’s listed alt. Buling doesn’t heal
Electro Flare quickswap Electro Rover + Chisa Prydwen: Chisa can beat Suisui in quickswap
Veteran Flare Lynae + Chisa / Suisui Master (Taiwan), 4 Oct: Lynae replaces Rover. In his testing Lynae+Chisa slightly beats Lynae+Suisui. Only Master lists Lynae
Unison Jinhsi + Shorekeeper / Verina Not recommended yet. Master: switch to Unison once Suoming releases for her real ceiling

Build guide + echoes

Cost pattern: 4 / 3 / 3 / 1 / 1 (all three sources).

Use case 5-pc set Main echo Why
Default / BiS Heart of Sworn Vigil Reminiscence: Suhsin the Inevitable 5-pc: +15% CRIT Rate, +22.5% Electro after Flare/Unison. Main echo gives +20% Electro (Prydwen/Game8)
Kuro alt Void Thunder Nightmare: Tempest Mephis Fallback while farming Sworn Vigil
Sub-DPS (Game8) Flash of Electric Reflection Soulfrayer 3/4/3/1/1, niche

Main stats: 4-cost CRIT DMG with the signature, CRIT Rate without it (Master (Taiwan), 4 Oct). This settles Kuro (CR) vs Game8 (CD with sig) · 3-cost Electro DMG ×2 (swap one for ATK% if short) · 1-cost ATK% ×2.

Substats: Energy Regen until comfortable → CRIT Rate = CRIT DMG → ATK% ≈ Resonance Skill DMG% → flat ATK. Game8 ranks Crit above ER, while Kuro/Prydwen hit the ER floor first. Master (Taiwan), 4 Oct: ER > CR/CD > ATK% > Liberation DMG. Hit 115–125% ER first, then aim for ~70% CR / ~250% CD. This agrees with the Kuro/Prydwen order.

Best weapon

Rank Weapon Prydwen % (Unison / Flare) Notes
1 Blooming Jadehaven (sig, R1) 100 / 100 24.3% CR, 12% All DMG, Skill DMG Amp 36%, Electro RES ignore, Flare DMG amp
2 Lethean Elegy R1 79.7 / 86.5 Kuro + Game8 #2 too. Needs Echo cast for the 12s buff
3 Stringmaster R1 76.2 / 80.6 Best standard-banner pick. Kuro/Game8 #3
4 Whispers of Sirens / Freeze Frame / Luminous Hymn ~70–79 Stat sticks
Perm Cosmic Ripples R1 66.0 / 70.3 Weak fit
Master alts Phrolova sig (= Lethean Elegy) · Stringmaster (Yinlin sig) · 4★ crit weapons from monthly/pass Matches the Prydwen/Kuro #2–3
4★ Augment R5 (BP) · Radiant Dawn R5 · Fusion Accretion R5 ~58–69 Temporary. Game8 also lists Waltz in Masquerade for Flare

Gap: In Flare, the sig is about +13.5% over Lethean Elegy and +19.4% over Stringmaster. In Unison it’s about +20–24%. Every source says the permanent options are underwhelming, so R1 is a real upgrade, but only after S0. Master (Taiwan, 4 Oct) calls the sig a must for main-DPS Hsin, and Saintontas’s 2 Oct video calls her weapon reliance unusually high (“F2P Disaster”). Don’t starve character pity for it.

Target endgame stats (Lv.90, S0)

Stat Prydwen Kuro
ATK 2100–2500+ —
CRIT Rate 65%+ (before set) ≥75%
CRIT DMG 230–270%+ ≥265%
Energy Regen 110–115% ≥118% (Game8 aims ~125%)
Electro DMG% 50–80%+ —
HP / DEF 14500+ / 1100+ —

Skill priority

Source Order
Prydwen (Flare) Forte → Liberation → Basic → Skill → Intro (skip)
Game8 Forte = Liberation → Intro (Unison only) → Basic → Skill
Kuro Liberation → Forte → Basic → Skill → Intro
Master (Taiwan), 4 Oct Forte → Liberation → Basic → Intro → Skill (Skill ~Lv6 is enough)

Everyone agrees: Forte Circuit + Liberation first, Intro last for Flare.

Sequences + signature sweet spot

Stop Verdict
S0R0 Fully playable. Prydwen T0.5 at S0. Lethean/Stringmaster are OK
S0R1 Your plan’s sweet spot. Sig is the biggest single upgrade available
S1 Minor/comfort: Radiance Ward anti-interrupt + 60% DR + Flare/Intro mults (Game8 ★3, Master “comfort”)
S2 Kuro “great early stop”: +60% on both enhanced Heavies, faster Formshift
S3 Best sequence breakpoint (Game8 “best stop for low spenders”, Kuro “massive”): Pillars +70%, big extra Flare proc
S4–S6 Whale. S6 is huge (+40% Skill DMG taken, Flare can crit)

Definitive call: S0R1, matching your plan of Hsin S0 with optional R1. Prydwen notes her Flare-mode sequences are underwhelming apart from S6. So if you want to go past S0R1, aim straight for S3R1. S1 alone isn’t worth it. Master (Taiwan), 4 Oct gives the same path as BuffBuff: S0R1 → S2R1 → S3R1 → S6R1. For light spenders he says stop at S2R1 or S3R1, and go S6 only for love. That agrees with Kuro (S2 early stop) and Game8 (S3).

Best teams + full rotations (PS)

Hsin Flare loop (Prydwen + Game8 + Kuro agree):

Intro → □ to Basic 4 → hold □ Heavy (Realm Protector) → R2 Formshift → △ → □ □ (cancel with △) → △ Pillars Aligned → □ ×4 → hold □ Heavy (Stilling All Horizons) → R2 Pillars Across Heaven → △ → Outro

Use the Echo (L1+□) whenever it’s free. Don’t swap-cancel mid-Forte, because she only builds Forte while on field.

1) Electro Flare: Hsin / Electro Rover / Suisui (best)

  1. Suisui: □ until Forte is full → △ (stance) → mid-air □ plunge → □ ×4 → R2 → L1+□ → Outro to Rover
  2. Rover (Electro): Intro → △ → □ until Forte is full → tap △ (don’t hold) → R2 → L1+□ → Outro to Hsin
  3. Hsin: loop above → Outro to Suisui (skip Suisui’s step-1 opener after the first rotation)

2) F2P Flare: Hsin / Electro Rover / Buling

  1. Buling: □ ×4 → hold □ → △ → □ → hold □ → R2 → Outro to Rover
  2. Rover: Intro → △ → □ until Forte is full → △ → R2 → L1+□ → Outro to Hsin
  3. Hsin: loop above → Outro to Buling

3) Quickswap Flare: Hsin / Electro Rover / Chisa

Same Rover → Hsin order with Chisa as sustain/Flare-cap support. Prydwen says it can beat Suisui for experienced quickswap players. Exact rotation not published yet.

  • As Full as Tonight, Forever (Hsin): 3.7 Phase 1, 30 Sep → ~22 Oct 2026 (Game8). Check the exact end time in-game. Runs alongside the Chisa / Iuno reruns.
  • Pull advice, Master (Taiwan), 4 Oct: she’s the first playable Sentinel-tier unit and top-tier, but her team isn’t complete yet. F2P/new players should get S0R1. Start with Rover + Buling, then move to Unison when Suoming arrives, and watch for a dedicated Electro sub-DPS. Agrees with Prydwen/Game8 on the incomplete-team caveat.
  • Signature Blooming Jadehaven is on the matching weapon banner.
  • Suhsin the Inevitable comes from the new weekly boss (Ordinance of the Inevitable, unlocked via the main story).

Disagreements flagged

  • 4-cost: settled. CRIT DMG with the sig, CRIT Rate without (Master).
  • Lynae: only Master pairs her with Hsin. Prydwen/Game8/Kuro list Electro Rover.
  • ER: 110–115% (Prydwen) vs ≥118% (Kuro) vs ~125% (Game8).
  • Sequence: Kuro marks S2 as an early stop. Game8/Kuro/third-party sites call S3 the best stop. Prydwen calls Flare sequences underwhelming apart from S6.
